Yea I cant get running to work. Cute idea but I cant play
Ill make this more clear in the next update; just walk twice in the same direction and you will get into "running" state, then jump and you'll make a long jump. No need to make it continuous.
I can't jump over the 2 tile gap :(
I've tried spamming jump, holding direction and jump, pressing the jump at different times.
I got over it once but couldn't repeat it.
It looks like we need to further improve that, since you are not the first person to have the issue :/
What you have to do is get in "running" mode, that is walking twice in the same direction, the player sprite will change when this happen. Jumps will then become long jumps.
I think the "turn-based" / puzzle nature of the game may not be readily apparent, probably because enemies don't move.
Oh right - I totally didn't see running mode. Thanks for this.
I'm not really a runner so I didn't know opening your mouth means you're running. Though dinner time at your place must be tense.
Thank you!
Gourgeous Game! The retro-feeling is great, would be great if the handheld controls would work on mobile
Thanks! working on making those button work in mobile in the post-jam version :)
