Emerald Woods - Blueprints [0.3.5]

A new version of Emerald Woods, the chill no-combat farming, building, and exploration roguelike where you can die, is now available!

This version is a bit freeform, I didn’t even look at the roadmap to 0.4, but rather worked mostly in usability improvements and fixes. The interface for building has been streamlined with small but important touches; instead of separate Crafting and Building modes, you will now select what tile you want to build, and then a preview of it will be displayed as the directional cursor, so you have a better idea of what you are placing and where it will land.

Likewise, it’s now much easier to drop items into containers; you will now be able to change the selection in your toolbox, and drop it directly into the container you are examining without having to place it in the world and manually dropping items (however this is still supported if you want)

You can now watch the 16mm film reels you find scattered around; just need to find a projector for them. This should give access to a broader section of lore

Chairs now also serve a more useful purpose, as you can now rest while sitting on them, to almost double the amount of recoverable stamina per day.

Also, a small but important fix I overlooked: Genco offices should now only have a single locked door instead of all of them.

Stability has been improved with three obscure bugs squashed. Got them via Sentry.io, which is always a great tool. Savegame size has also been reduced by removing redundant data.
